Eight of Keros

I left Ollantaytambo this morning. I loved my time there. I had walked the streets, climbed above the town, eaten at places I wanted to try, wandered without anywhere particular to go, and spent evenings listening to the sounds outside my window.

This morning I packed my bag, had one last breakfast, and walked toward the station. There was a moment when I looked back and wished I had given myself another day. Then I remembered how many times I had already said that. One more morning. One more walk. One more meal. One more sunset.

But there was somewhere else I wanted to go. So I got on the train.

For a while, I watched Ollantaytambo disappear behind me. Then the tracks curved, the landscape changed, and I found myself leaning toward the window to see what was coming next. :)
