From the Path: Today’s Reflections
I danced tonight. I hadn't planned to. I went to a small gathering after dinner because someone I met earlier told me there would be music. At some point, a woman began showing a few of us the steps to a local dance, and before I really understood what was happening, I was standing beside a group of people trying desperately to make my feet do what hers were doing.
I was terrible at it! LOL! So was the woman next to me, which somehow made everything funnier. We kept watching each other's feet, getting turned around, correcting ourselves, and then losing the rhythm again. Every time we thought we finally had it, the music seemed to get faster.
People were laughing, clapping, calling things out to one another, and pulling others in. Eventually I stopped worrying about whether I was doing the steps correctly and just moved with everyone else. I don't remember the last time I laughed that hard.
Walking home afterward, my face actually hurt from smiling. I came here expecting mountains, ruins, history, and all the things I had spent months planning to see. But tonight, just letting loose and enjoying life made this journey so much more fulfilling! :)

Artwork note
The artwork for this first edition of Quni Samiyuq was created with generative AI under my direction. I developed the concept, symbolism, composition, and visual direction for each card through an iterative process.
