Eight of Staffs

I don't think I stopped moving today. I left early because I wanted to see the ruins before continuing to the next town. I had been told I needed at least three hours there, but I convinced myself I could do it in half that. I walked faster than I should have, stopped long enough to look at everything that caught my attention, took a few notes, and hurried back down because I still had a ride to catch.

Then everything seemed to happen at once. I arrived in the next town, dropped my things, found something to eat, wandered through the market, discovered a small museum I hadn't planned on visiting, and somehow decided I had time for that too. I kept looking at the hour and calculating how much more I could squeeze into the day. The strange thing is, I loved it.

There was an energy carrying me from one thing into the next. Every time I thought I was finished, something else caught my attention and off I went again. I barely had time to think about what I had just experienced before I was already moving toward something new.

Tonight I am exhausted. My feet hurt, my notes are a mess, and I am fairly certain I saw more today than I will remember tomorrow.

But what a day!!! :)
