From the Path: Today’s Reflections
Tonight I keep thinking about the people I haven't met yet. That may be what I'm most excited about. I have spent so much time planning where I will walk, what I want to see, and everything I hope to learn that I haven't thought very much about the people who will become part of those experiences.
Who will I meet along the road? Who will sit beside me at a meal? Will someone make me laugh when I least expect it? Will I struggle to understand someone and somehow understand them anyway? Will there be a conversation I remember years from now?
I don't know. There is something wonderful about that tonight. None of those relationships exist yet. They are only possibilities, waiting somewhere ahead of me. I think I have prepared everything I can prepare. Perhaps this part of the journey asks for something different. I have to arrive willing to be open to meet it.
